healthy and tanned skin

Do you want to get tanned? Do you fancy a nice golden and radiant color, but you fear the damage that a bad exposure could cause? Do not worry, it is necessary only a little commitment and perseverance. A glowing and especially healthy tan has to be prepared just like a task or a project, you need to follow some simple tips and the results will be obvious and lasting.

When summer arrives there is a strong need to be outdoors and to feel all the benefits of sun exposure on yourself. Everyone prefers sports activities in the open air like riding a bike, taking long walks instead of going to the gym.
The sun is without a doubt vital to the body and has a number of benefits: it stimulates the synthesis of vitamin D, accentuates the physical and muscle tone, improves mood, relieves muscle pain and so on.And then a beautiful tanned skin, from the first hot, is the dream of many. It makes our look healthier and more attractive; it is undeniable that the desire is strong for everyone, both men and women, but we must not forget to follow good rules to have a beautiful, durable, and above all healthy tan.

The spring sun can be very dangerous especially because the skin, pale and helpless after the winter, is particularly vulnerable. We all know the consequences of bad exposure: premature skin aging and cancers have had a big outburst in recent years due also to the excessive use of tanning lamps.
Prevention is always better than cure! And this is the reason why we help giving you some advice to arrive to summer with a healthy and tanned skin.

SCRUB

After the winter the skin is thickened, dry and arid. Therefore, it is very important to exfoliate it with a scrub or glycolic acid prior to sun exposure, so as to remove all the dead skin that has been accumulated over the past season. Exfoliation removes the most superficial layers of the skin, leaving it soft and ready for tanning. But be careful to insist with particular attention on the most critical points, such as elbows, knees and ankles. The operation should be repeated once or twice a week.

MOISTURE

To prevent the dryness and aridity of the skin during exposure to the sun and help you look better, remember to drink about 2 liters of water a day. Hydration of the skin starts from the inside. Additionally, in the summer, it is important to replace fluids removed by sweating.

POWER

Among the foods that promote tanning and help the skin to be protected from the action of sunlight, in addition to carrots, there are tomatoes, which are rich in lycopene, a powerful antioxidant suitable to counteract the action of free radicals. Then do not miss all the fruit that helps us maintain a proper hydration, as rich in water, from watermelons and melons, but also peaches and apricots. The consumption of fruits and vegetables, also stimulates the production of melanin and protects the skin.

SUPPLEMENTS

A month before the exposure to the sun, we should prepare the skin from the inside. Taking targeted supplements, based on antioxidants, increases the natural shields against free radicals and inflammation. In addition to the known and valid supplemental beta-carotene, lycopene and vitamin C, the newest ones are the polypodium, extracted from a fern that grows in the rainforests of South America; it is an aquatic plant that, in the course of the evolution, has adapted itself to terrestrial life by developing specific compounds to protect itself from the sun. But put to tender the do-it-yourself, and before you rush to the pharmacy ask advice to your doctor!

ECO-BIO SOLAR PROTECTION

It is useless to say that you must protect your skin with an adequate sun protection. But if you also want to respect both health and environment you can choose sunscreen products offered by the eco-bio cosmetics. These help to repair the skin from sunburn thanks to its natural ingredients and avoid the substances that can cause allergies and irritation, and the petroleum-based components.

Some people feel an obsessive need to appear more
tanned. If it is not possible, they get anxious and do
not feel confident. The mood and the self-esteem are
lowered. Thus the sense of well being increases with
the increase of tanning. This obsession is called
tanning addiction and is comparable to anorexia: as
anorexics do not see themselves quite skinny, the tan
addicted do not consider themselves enough tanned
and are constantly looking forward to a brown complexion. The tanning addiction is a matter of health, over that of psychology. It should be emphasized that those suffering from this disorder multiply the risks associated with uncontrolled exposure to the sun, such as burns, skin aging, keratoses and even melanoma.
